Amherst, MA, July 7, 2020—Author and speaker Jayne A. Pearl has just announced the launch of her Smart Financial Parenting TM/SM (SFP) licensing workshop program, to enable professionals to present her workshop to their clients and prospects. The programs help their clients teach their children and grandchildren crucial financial skills and instill financial values that will help the younger generation develop attitudes, discipline, habits and skills they will need to succeed during these challenging times.

After more than 20 years of giving these workshops to clients of financial institutions, family business consultancies as well as school parent-teacher groups and other organizations since publication of her first book, Kids and Money: Giving Them the Savvy to Succeed Financially (Bloomberg, 1999), Pearl transformed her presentations into a turnkey program licensing her slides, handouts, an instructional guidebook and other materials for enables professionals to lead her workshops.

“During this period of quarantine, consultants, advisors, and parenting and life coaches are having to rely more on reaching out via online platforms instead of in person,” says Pearl, who has also authored and coauthored other financial parenting books including Kids and Money Guide to Learning Capital (ALLL Right Books, 2020) and Kids, Wealth and Consequences (Wiley, 2010). “However, many lack fresh, compelling content they can present live as part of their efforts to connect and upsell to existing clients, and prospect for new business.”

For instance, a recent Fidelity Investments survey of financial advisors found that just over half said remote prospecting they’ve done since quarantine began has yielded below-average results, while 74 percent of those using multi-platforms such as email, phone, social media and videos report average or above-average results. However, about 90 percent of respondents who use at least one digital marketing tactic feel their efforts are not effective due to their lack of digital skills and resources.

The Smart Financial Parenting TM/SM licensing workshop program provides digital resources and instruction that can be delivered via most webinar platforms to help such advisors and other professionals become more effective at retaining existing clients and turning new leads into clients with relevant content that adds value and enhances their credibility and exposure. After quarantine, the programs can also be delivered in person.
